Swan Point Yacht & Country Club initially began as a modest nine-hole golf course along the scenic banks of the Potomac River in Southern Maryland. In the late 1980s, renowned golf course architect and consultant to Augusta National Golf Club, Bob Cupp, was commissioned to expand and redesign the course into an 18-hole championship layout.
